Calcined Petroleum Coke is made of Raw Petroleum Coke. Raw Petroleum Coke needs to be calcined in order to meet the requirements for producing Graphite Electrode used in steelmaking or Anode Paste used in making aluminum and magnesium. The calcination temperature will usually be about 1300°C, The aim is to get rid of the volatility, which will help to reduce the content of hydrogen and increase the graphitization degree of Petroleum Coke Products , thus enhance the high temperature strength , the heat resistance and the conductivity of Graphite Electrode.

Calcined Petroleum Coke is mainly used in the manufacture of Graphite Electrodes, Carbon Paste products, Corundum, Calcium Carbide as well as used in Phosphorus industry of food-grade, Metallurgical industry ,etc. The most popular application is for the manufacture of Graphite Electrodes and Carbon Additives.
