Therefore, foundry coke with large block size, low reactivity, porosity, has small impact crushing strength, ash and sulfur content is low enough. It is widely used in iron and non-ferrous metal smelting, casting, chemical industry, calcium carbide and ferroalloy, etc.The coke in a cupola functions not only as a fuel but also, and more important, as a medium of heat transfer.
